The heart of this preamp is a EF86 (6267) Valve running at High Voltage. Ever wanted to get the crystal clear crunch of the classic EF86 Tube Preamps - This is IT!
The DC-30 is a two-stage switchable design allowing it to switch from a clean channel to a dirty channel with independent gain and volume settings.
Designed to be used as the preamp of your gear to transform any amp in a DC-30 style amp. It can be used in front of another preamp but we think it sounds best bypassing your preamp and running directly into the power amp!
Each DC-30 is hand-built, hand-wired, and tested one at a time.
FEATURES:
Master - Overall output level.
Depth - 4 position rotary that allows more low end to travel through the circuit.
Cut - Works as a high cut switch.
Tone - Pre-gain tone control.
SWITCHABLE CONTROLS:
Volume - How much additional volume hits the tube stage.
Gain - Pre-gain adjustment to drive the tube

Make sure to use a fully isolated 12V DC power supply - Center negative (Boss Style Adapter). Non-fully isolated supplies can introduce additional unwanted noise.
If you do not have access to a fully isolated power supply we recommend a Triad WSU120-1000-R as a second option.
Our NOS versions are only available when we can find them from a reputable and trusted supplier!
NOS tubes are all verified via date codes and testing prior to ever going in a pedal.

Due to aging some NOS tubes may have additional unwanted noise characteristics. We do our best to weed these tubes out.
